Hispanic marketing continues to remain a vital segment of business for member retailers and Affiliated Foods. Constant evaluation of product lines continue throughout the year to assure our member retailers would have the correct mix and price points to accommodate their customer needs. Our promotional activities included the Super Smart Buy and Super Buy Program. New Hispanic items in produce, meat, dairy, frozen along with health and beauty care have been added. Candy and grocery categories have been created to bring our total to over 3,000 SKU’s of true Hispanic products.
Affiliated Foods is at the forefront of providing our retailers the products needed to feed this growth. The retail counselors and merchandising specialists team have the knowledge to help all member retailers make this department successful and profitable.
Specialty marketing continues to grow with more of DPI specialty products available to our stores. DPI complemented the in-warehouse products with additional SKU’s of specialty, natural and organic items. Consumers are demanding more specialty, natural and organic food items and the warehouse team is diligently working to enhance, increase and improve all facets of Specialty Marketing strategies. Based on retail requests and changing national trends, Affiliated Foods and DPI continue to refresh and refine the extensive offering of specialty items.
